Another view. We may OR may not stuff damping material inside the ceiling depending on the acoustics. Most likely, I will not damp the ceiling at least at the section between the listner and the speaker to make it more lively. The section behind the listner can be deader as we do not want energy to be bounced back from the rear wall behind the listener. The concept of "前生後死", in relative sense.
Highly anticipated too. If the acoustics is considered just right now with the right balance of absorption and reflection, it is not a good idea to add more damping material on the ceiling.
