Hi Sammy, I am a 1012 user too. Similar to you, I use FR on the 1012 with great result. Your experience match mine. The male plug cannot touch the female socket of 1012 fully. In the end, I use it on dCS transport, very good too.

We actually haven't got enough time to do more interesting comparison with other cables. It is really inconclusive to make any statement on this. Of course, I have tried many cables before and I find SMR EE fits my need and system well. I am glad other people find it very good and the way that Argento has musicians and literati on music come and do the final blind test on all their cable products give me a lot of comfort on the true depiction of music their cables give.
Lee sir is bluffing on you...but Argento is certainly one brand that you shouldn't miss trying.
