I am always half-hearted in using disc clamp partly because of laziness but more importantly is because of the gives and takes in using some the clamps available in the market. Unlike cables, I have not tried the majority of the clamps so my experience is only limited to around 4-5.
I got the DV disc clamp last night from PT and used it on the Unison turntable. The results were all positive bringing quite noticeable improvement in the spatial cue and separations. Is it purely designed surrouding the use of a DV turntable and whether it would create the same magic on other turntables, I don't have an idea but my guess is it should help. I tried difference brands of LP: EMI, DG, Decca, Sheffield.

一開聲播馬五以為比 PT 老點, 聽了幾分鐘後我就換了我自已帶來的CD, 我是第一次要求聽自已的CD因為想聽清楚究竟乜事, 聽了幾段後再聽回馬五, 大概聽了二十分鐘後就和 PT 開始討論我不明白的問題. 討論完後再聽Eason 的歌, 又有問題, 點解可以咁真實?
然後再聽了幾首其它的歌, 到聽小提琴, 我覺得高頻不夠清晰, 但 PT 就做了一點示範給我聽, 高頻馬上清晰了但不及之前的全面, 再聽回 Eason 都一樣, 最後都係還原.
PT 經過今日的經驗我發覺自已的系統還有很多要改進.
我昨晚所聽DV系统, 明顯地人聲是不真實的, 真實的人聲不可能是這樣具有魔力的,我真係聽到心頭一震,想如陳亦迅如在任何系统都可以發出這DV系统的聲音,他一定被定死罪,罪名是迷惑人心.
另外聽 George Gershwin 的piano concerto,直至大合奏都有條不絮地表演出來,唉,好彩我係第一次也都暫時無機會聽,就當發咗場夢就算.

經過改裝之後,聲音鬆容好多.不知不覺度過了快樂的一個晚上.其實已經好好聲但聽過DV系统後只能...唉,既生瑜,何生亮!
