Matt,
The power supply of a SE tube design requries very special treatment depending on the power tube used and the circuit. The WE91 SE300B has a very complicated power supply configuration, it does not has an interstage trans as driver stage, but the PP version of the WE86 does employ a trans as driver and thus its power supply is simple and straight forward.
No matter how good is the Ongaku design, it's capacitor-coupled, it's noise level cannot be compared with the PP Gakuoh which is dead quiet. So I won't need to worry about the power supply of the PP AT20, I know it should have a built-in driver transformer, it also should have an input trans for impedance match with the company's preamp. Da Vinci has a similar design concept except it is not tube regulated.
Went to check out a quad set of Mullard AT20 big bottle, similar to the Mazda posted above. While not quite as awesome to look it, it's still quite some tube!
Wonder when we will have the skinny on the limited edition amp....
