Did you try the old version EE? I m 100%satisfy on the new EE, i m much enjoy to listen to the violinist who play with silver tone now, but the Keyboard touching feel on Old version still in my mine. Is there only connector different?

The latest EE ic sounds a little bit different from the older one with Brenda RCA jacks. Its more or less the same as you describe, but the Brenda jacks are too heavy that damages both my preamp and amp sockets. After struggling many days (and nights),I finally decided to return the EE with Brenda to the factory for changing to the newer RCA jacks. I'm sad when I handed over the EE to PT cos I know I will never have the same sound again, the beautiful male voice and the striking piano notes ........ The newer EE excels in other areas and overall, its a better version.
