Technical explanation by Jorn of Tidal about the rapid piston movement of the driver when playing LP:
"The movement is fine because it is the subsonic movement of the cartridge. As long as the diaphragm does not hit the magnet (you would hear a loud"beat") all is fine. The preos does not use a subsonic filter like most phonopreamps have because it always reduces details and degrade sound quality. That also explains why the Piano Diacera with the Preos/Impact has very linear frequency response even down to the deep bass region assuming your room acoustics allows bass to develop fully."
The PiaDia needs to play another week after a long travel with variations on temperature and pressure. It will get better and better, give it time, the potential is way higher then to realize in the first few hours.
"The Piano Diacera can play so clean and free
of distortion that one always feel not getting enough and turn louder because the tweeter does not sound harsh and the mid-range is compression free. Tidal speakers can just play louder without creating "harshness". It is "compression free" beyond your conventional understanding of ceramic driver."
The Zanden probably has a subsonic filter in place. It's good to wipe out more noises to achieve smoother sound but it loses details in the subsonic region.

I love it.
