The active preamp uses the 6c45 tube, a modern equivalent of WE437A (the input stage of Studiogrey's 833 amp). I don't know how good are they. But if you like the grandezza system, you will like the latest offering. Da Vinci is very excited about this product line and some music lovers traveled all the way from Germany and Austria to experience them without the chassis. The result is the same: purchase.
