Folks, due to overwhelming demand, we have to close registrations for both sessions. Please feel free to watch the session live on FB Live on Sunday 9th April at 230pm!
We had a full house yesterday for both sessions! Touraj is a wealth of knowledge and AE customers were fed with a feast of knowledge on turntables, how they are built, what affects the sound and the technicalities of design. A superb day for our customers. Each session ran for over 3 hours. You can watch the playback on the AE Facebook feed. https://fb.watch/jPbQofqMZT/
Thanks for hosting the event and making this such priceless learning opportunity possible. It was truly a pleasure to meet Mr. Touraj, as well as Mr. Mohan, such a breathtaking experience.
Some photos to see what beauty that AE Singapore have in the house:
Touraj was in town to meet with Vertere customers in Singapore. He introduced the 2 new cartridges - Xtract and Black Sabre. The performance he drew out of the DG1S running the Black Sabre cartridge through the Phono 1 shocked everyone that was there! He also walked through how he developed his cartridges. Needless to say his visits are always an event and everyone walked away learning a lot more about turntable, audio and sound!
Vertere's new Calon phono stage and Pathfinder Tonearm
Touraj was back this weekend to introduce the new Vertere flagship phono stage - the Calon, and the new Tonearm - the SG-2 Pathfinder.
The Calon which means 'Heart' in Welsh! I found the Calon to be a revelation in simplicity and thoughtful design. The first thing that struck me was its understated elegance, but it was the performance that truly captivates. The Calon reproduces source material with an attention to detail that’s nothing short of astonishing, bringing out subtle nuances I hadn’t noticed before. The focus on musicality is undeniable—every note, every texture is conveyed with such authenticity that I felt a deeper connection to my music. What’s most impressive is how it outshines phono stages at twice its price, delivering a level of performance that’s both surprising and deeply satisfying. For anyone seeking a phono stage that puts the music first, the Calon is an absolute must-listen.
The SG2 Pathfinder tonearm is a truluy remarkable addition to the Vertere lineup. The 'Baby Reference' tonearm brings a fresh perspective to high-end analogue playback that Vertere is famous for. What sets it apart is that it's practically a new creation, with only four components shared with its predecessor, the SG tonearm. Every other aspect has been reimagined and redesigned to push the boundaries of performance.
The precision in the SG-2 Pathfinder is immediately apparent—it's meticulously crafted to ensure that every movement, no matter how minute, is perfectly executed. This results in an exceptionally accurate and stable playback, allowing the true character of the vinyl to shine through. The tonal balance is superb, with an impressive level of detail and a dynamic range that breathes life into the music. It's as if the Pathfinder disappears, leaving only the purest musical expression behind.
In essence, the SG-2 Pathfinder isn't just an upgrade; it's a statement in itself. For those who demand the highest fidelity from their analog setup, this tonearm delivers reference-level performance in a package that's both innovative and deeply rooted in Vertere's commitment to musicality. It’s a tonearm that not only competes with but often surpasses those in higher price brackets, making it a standout choice for discerning audiophiles.
