What a classy layout....I had thought about it but the idea of putting so many heavy gears on top makes me worry (should be over-worry) that it would bend in the middle just like a few years ago I saw a 'bended' FE wide rack.
what is the sonical change/improvement after the replacement of the rack?

Too bad to know there is a 'bended' FE wide rack!!!
I m sure it won't happan on solid wood. A full load 20yrs solid LP/book rack at my old house never bended.
The other good news is there are few inches under the rack, so those DVD, TV Cable will not spare the space!!!0
